We sought determine whether inclusion data derived from preoperative multiparametric (mpMRI) improves the prediction function at 12 months 24 RP. METHODS: The Michigan Urological Surgery Improvement Collaborative (MUSIC) a consortium 45 diverse urology practices that maintains prospective registry men with CaP. Using mpMRI 3 large hospitals linked MUSIC data, we fit random forest models predict patient reported RP; poor was defined as EPIC-26 scores <73 good ≥73. compared using baseline clinical predictors (age, body mass index, grade group, PSA, domain score, urinary incontinence score), (membranous urethral length, maximum PI-RADS v2 median lobe size, volume), both predictors. assessed model discrimination 10-fold cross-validated C-statistic. RESULTS: identified 854 patients 477 months, whom 671 (79%) had 350 (73%) months. combined strong discriminative performance C-statistics 0.94 0.96 (Table). Adding variables did not improve over factors alone. 5 most important month were age, initial volume. CONCLUSIONS: Models alone achieved very high in long-term Compared alone, adding does significantly or after Source Funding: Clinical collected through MUSIC, which funded Blue Cross Shield © 2021 American Association Education Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Volume 206Issue Supplement 3September 2021Page: e1117-e1117 Advertisement Copyright & Permissions© Inc.MetricsAuthor Information Expand Loading ...

A nomogram predicting long-term biochemical recurrence after radical prostatectomy.
BACKGROUND Men who undergo radical prostatectomy (RP) are at long-term risk of biochemical recurrence (BCR). In this report, the authors have described a model capable of predicting BCR up to at least 15 years after RP that can adjust predictions according to the disease-free interval. METHODS Cox regression was used to model the probability of BCR (a prostate-specific antigen level>0.1 ng/mL...
متن کاملRadical prostatectomy: long-term cancer control and recovery of sexual and urinary function ("trifecta").
Radical prostatectomy (RP) disrupts the natural history of prostate cancer. However, it could be a significant source of long-term incontinence and potency morbidity. We studied the long-term cancer survival results and the probabilities of achieving ideal "trifecta" outcomes (cancer control, continence, and potency) after this surgical procedure. A total of 1746 intervention-naive patients wit...
متن کاملMulti-parametric MRI of the prostate: Factors predicting extracapsular extension at the time of radical prostatectomy
Objective Extracapsular extension (ECE) of prostate cancer is a poor prognostic factor associated with progression, recurrence after treatment, and increased prostate cancer-related mortality. Accurate staging prior to radical prostatectomy is crucial in avoidance of positive margins and when planning nerve-sparing procedures. Multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) of the prostate ...
متن کاملThe factors predicting biochemical recurrence in patients with radical prostatectomy.
OBJECTIVE The main objective of this study was to evaluate the factors predicting recurrence in patients who underwent radical prostatectomy (RP) for localized prostate cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 275 patients who underwent RP between 2000 and 2012 years in our clinic were evaluated retrospectively and 238 patients who met our criteria were included in the study. The effect of PS...
متن کاملClinical outcomes of pulmonary valve replacement surgery in pediatrics: a single-center experience long-term study
Introduction: Heart valve disease in pediatricsis an increasing global concern, especially in developing countries. This study aims to determine the clinical outcomes of pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) surgery in pediatrics. Methods: The authors retrospectively identified all pediatrics undergoing PVR surgery at Imam Reza hospital (Mashhad, Iran) between 2000 and 2020. Their medical records...
